I know this picture shows a lot of skin, and I hope nobody is offended.  But I took this picture of my butt, not because I’m trying to be sexy (although, I don’t mind if you think I am—it just shows your intelligence if you do).  I took this picture to hopefully inspire other vegan women to get in the gym to reshape their booties too.  I want you all to see that this diet and exercise program is working!  Also, I still have a long ways to go, so in a couple months this photo will serve as a “before” shot (although for now, it is a symbol of progress). For someone who had a pancake flat, lumpy butt in January, it is nice to see this kind of curve and muscle developing by March!
By the way, I used my “squat sponge” that I got from amazon.com for the first time last night. It was AMAZING!  It made the barbell feel like a heavy cloud floating on my back.  I highly recommend it!  Speaking of the workout last night, here’s what I did last night to shape my booty:
  • Squats: 10 reps/just the bar, 10 reps/20 lbs X 2, 10 reps/30 lbs X 2
  • Outer Thigh (Abductor) Machine: 10 reps/100 lbs X 3
  • Seated Hamstring Curl Machine: 10 reps/120 lbs X 3
  • Leg Extension Roc It Machine: 10 reps/130 lbs X 3
  • Cable Kick Backs: 10 reps/35 lbs X 3

And here’s what I ate yesterday:

  • Breakfast (46 g protein): smoothie with bananas, frozen cherries, frozen blueberries, 2 oz wheat grass (2 g protein), 1 packet frozen acai with added protein (7 g protein), 1.5 cups soy milk (10 g protein), 1 scoop Vega Sport Performance Protein (20 g protein), 1/2 scoop
  • Lunch (55 g protein): about 2 cups Quinoa (20 g protein) with soyrizo (15 g protein) and about 2 cups cooked spinach (20 g protein)
  • Dinner: Odwalla soy protein drink (15 g protein)
  • Snack: 1 orange
  • Snack: 3 large mugs of nettle tea with 1/2 cup soy milk each mug  (4 g protein X 3 = 12 g protein)
  • Snack: 1 cup soy nuts (32 g protein)
  • Before Bed (36 g protein): smoothie with bananas, frozen blueberries, 2 oz wheat grass (2 g protein), 2 cups soy milk (14 g protein),  and 1 scoop of Vega Sport Performance Protein (20 g protein)
  • Total  196 grams of protein for the day!!!
